Full sun; a drought-tolerant annual that blooms in a variety of colors including white, purple, pink and red. Easily grown from seed planted in early summer. Bachelor’s button has relatively few pest problems, but may develop root rot if over-watered. Also called globe amaranth and cornflower, it makes a long-lasting cut or dried flower.
